Classic F3 started in 1986. It's purpose was to utilise the chassis and engines that had been raced in the fantastic era of the late 70's. Indeed all the drivers shown below crafted their skills by driving F3 cars of that particular era.

The championship comprises cars from manufacturers such as Ralt, Argo, March, Chevron, Safir, and Modus raced from 1st January 1974 to 31st December 1980, excluding the Ralt RT3. Initially all cars had to run 2-litre Toyota engines, however joining together with the 2-litre cars in 1997 was an additional class for 1600cc F3 cars built between 1971- 1973 , so if you have one of those cars you will be welcomed to run in the Classic F3 championship. The beauty of owning a historic car is that all cars are carefully monitored by the HSCC to ensure their traditional accuracy & this is a contributing factor for a steady resale price.
